This special program for music educators, music therapists, choral directors, and classroom teachers with extensive music background is offered to those who wish to learn the fundamental pedagogy of Carl Orff’s music and movement for children. The approach is one of active music-making through singing, instrumental ensemble on special instruments, movement, and improvisation. The curriculum is based on the sequence outlined by the American Orff Schulwerk Association (AOSA). Special topics in the course include multicultural applications of the material such as folk dance sessions and story telling.
